The Micron Meters DCE load cell has been developed for applications that require the measurement of tensile and compressive forces, where space is limited.

As with most Micron products there a special variants that are available for this product. Popular variants include different thread sizes, integral connectors and high temperature versions.

The DCE can be supplied on it's own or integrated with any of the wide range of instrumentation products available from Micron Systems.

The micron series of Diaphragm Load Cells have been designed for use in a wide selection of different applications, particularly where there are low height constraints, for load cell installation.

The flexibility in the design of the DIA series enables the customer to virtually design the load cell to suit their installation exactly. Our engineers are on hand to assist you with this. Some of the standard variations that we offer include: male or female center threads, clear center holes etc.

The DIA series can be supplied as shown in this datasheet or can be modified to meet a particular application requirement. We are always pleased to discuss any special requirements that can be accommodated.

The DIA series can be supplied on it's own or combined with our extensive range of instrumentation to provide a complete load monitoring system.

PTC-1 Stainless Steel Low Profile Universal Load Cell

The PTC-1 series load cells are based on the conventional low profile or pancake load cell principle. The internal construction is a shear web design, offering high natural frequency, low deflection and excellent resistance to side and torsion forces.

The PTC-1 is constructed from stainless steel offering excellent corrosion resistance. There is an optional mounting base available, which is required if the load cell is to be used in tension. The mounting base is also constructed from stainless steel.
The standard load cell is supplied with an integral MIL spec. connector and supplied with a mating connector.

The PTC-1 is ideally suited to many testing applications, where high stability and low height are essential requirements.
The PTC-1 can be supplied with any of Micron Meters range of load cell instrumentation, and can be supplied calibrated as a complete ready to go system.

TCA Stainless Steel Tension and Compression Load Cell

The TCA series load cell is ideal for measuring both tensile and compressive forces. The standard metric threads at each end of the load cell are designed to accept standard spherical seating rod-end bearing.

There is great flexibility in the TCA design, allowing us to offer special sizes, to meet specific application requirements, or different end thread sizes/combinations. There are versions available with male threads at each end, or male threads one end, female the other. We are also happy to supply any of the TCA series with imperial thread sizes.

SHK-B Bow Type Crosby Cabled Shackle Load Cell

The micron range of Shackle Load Cells is designed for lifting and weighing in rugged or harsh environments.
The shackle pins are forged from high tensile carbon steel and are machined to an exacting specification. The basic shackle uses the Crosby G2130 (1-25tonne) and G2140 (40-400tonne).

This range of load cells is Proof Loaded to 150% of the normal rated load.

The SHK-B series are available in a range from 1 tonne to 400 tonne. The integral cable is normally enclosed in an armored rubber hydraulic hose to give physical and environmental protection. The SHK-B is internally gauged and the whole instrumented area is sealed to IP66, to protect it in service.

They are simple to install and are available in standard shackle sizes. As an option, a rotating bobbin can be supplied, to centralize the load and to minimize any point-load effects when the shackle is placed under load. We are always pleased to discuss any special requirements that can be accommodated. The SHK-B series can be supplied on it's own or combined with our extensive range of instrumentation to provide a complete load monitoring system

TELSHACK-B Wireless Telemetry Crosby Bow Shackle Load Cell

The TELSHACK-B range of wireless telemetry shackle load cells are manufactured using the Crosby G2130 (12-25tonne) and G2140 (40-400tonne). Versions are also available using the popular GreenPinâ„¢ range of shackles. The built in wireless radio telemetry electronics operates on the 2.4GHz license free frequency.

The telemetry housing is manufactured from stainless steel, offering a robust solution. Located in the housing are two AAA NiMh batteries, which can be accessed by removing the telemetry housing cover. No tools are required, making it easy to do on site. The batteries can be recharged using the universal charger supplied. In emergencies (when you do not have time to re-charge the batteries), standard alkaline batteries can also be used.

There is an external sealed aerial, which can be rotated to offer the best signal polarity and hence the best transmission range, making it more versatile for different applications.

The TELSHACK-B is supplied as standard with a handheld battery powered display, or alternatively, for multi-shackle applications, a single display can address up to 12 shackles for individual monitoring, or for summation/balancing applications.

The Micron RILL series of wireless link load cells have been designed for lifting and weighing in rugged or harsh environments, being manufactured from high tensile aluminum to minimize weight (has steel bushes to provide added wear protection from shackles etc).

The RILL series are simple to install and are matched to standard shackle sizes. As standard they are supplied with a battery powered handheld indicator, which will display the load in tonne (other measurement units are available - on request).

The handheld indicator is very easy tom operate, with just two buttons. One button turns the unit ON/OFF, the other button toggles between GROSS/NET.

The RILL can be supplied as a simple Link matched with a handheld or as part of a more complex wireless telemetry radio system. Please contact our technical engineers to discuss any specific requirements you may have.

The SILL series are simple to install and are matched to standard shackle sizes. The have a built in display which can be selected by the user to display the applied weight or force in t, kg, lb or kN. There is an in-built audible alarm, which can be set by the operator, to warn when an applied weight/force level is met.

For applications where the operator is unable to read the display, there is a handheld remote available. This remote replicates exactly, all the functionality that is available on the link itself.

Other features that are available include Peak Hold, Gross/Net, Pre-set Tare entry. There is also a RS485 digital output available. Micron Meters can offer a software design facility to design bespoke software to meet any specific application requirements that may be required.
