Micron Meters offers a new generation of, strain gauge type, Linear Displacement sensors. Used in a wide variety of industries and applications, these devices are precision engineered with a robust construction making them desirable in environments such as:
LDS Sensor
• Research Laboratory
• Development and Test
• Process Control
• Civil Engineering
• Soil Mechanics
• Aeronautics
• Automotive
• Avionics

For Use in Applications Ranging from Light Duty to Rugged these Sensors are perfect for Recording:

• Physical Displacement
• Position Monitoring
• Linear Measurement
• Volumetric Movement

PRODUCT RANGE
LDS
sensors are available in three displacements, 10mm, 25mm and 50mm all with sprung return stainless steel spindles housed in a stainless steel outer case and fitted with a 2 meter flying lead.

ENGINEERED for QUALITY
LDS sensors rugged construction, low force spring return spindle, utilizing low excitation voltage, light current consumption and strain gauge sensor compatibility are all key design factors coupled with modern production techniques of this  precision engineered sensor that offer the customer a robust and consistent quality product.

ACCURACY
LDS
sensors produce proportional voltage output in relation to the captivated guided spindle displacement via the four active arms of a 350 ohm strain gauge bridge arrangement. This fully active bridge provides excellent temperature compensation characteristics coupled with true output linearity.

COMPATIBILITY
LDS sensors belong to the family of strain gauge sensors and exhibit the same inherent advantages for linearity, resolution and versatility as such they are systems compatible with a wide range of commonly used sensors for load, pressure, acceleration, vibration etc. utilizing a millivolt input for most off the shelf instrumentation.

VALUE
LDS
sensors compatibility with low cost instrumentation, providing higher accuracy test data, reliable feed back and control, yields greater value in wide variety of applications, industrial process control, civil engineering projects, soil mechanics, R & D testing, automotive and aerospace  etc.
